Maria Sharapova might have retired, but her charm is intact among the fraternity. After retirement, Sharapova has been keeping herself busy with investment work, business, and commentary. Things changed when she became a mother in 2022, after welcoming Theo with her fiancé Alexander Gilkes. Her latest social media activities showcase her life after tennis with Theo, and it doesn’t seem as hectic as before. While the fraternity remains curious about Sharapova’s adjustment to this life, she channels a great commitment to highlighting her life’s current goals.
The former WTA number one shared some pictures on her Instagram story. The first one was a clip that showed the serene beauty of a blue ocean where a few white boats were sailing. People could spot the Rocky’s in the backdrop. “Weekends,” she captioned it, highlighting her mood.
In the second story, Sharapova’s followers could spot Theo holding his father’s hand as his mother captured him. They were walking on the wooden deck bridges near the ocean. “With my,” she wrote, adding a bear emoji that referred to her partner and son. Sharapova shared a photo of a plate full of seafood with onion rings in her third story. “Who loves to eat?” she dropped a question with her caption, and people could spot the blue in the backdrop.

The former player also shared some snacks with her son as Theo was captured trying Amara Babyfood’s healthy munching. “And snack @amarababyfood his favorite,” she wrote, mentioning how much Theo loves binge-ing on these. In the last one, Sharapova shared a detailed photo of her son’s snack packet. However, baby Theo and his father were also in the background. Sharapova jokingly revealed in her next story how Amara Babyfood’s snack stole her heart so much that she invested in the company. While this brought a toll of laughter among his followers, they were delighted to see her enjoying moments with family.
While the former WTA number one didn’t mention places, the backdrop could tell it was California. Sharapova bought a 3.3-acre estate in California’s Montecito for $11.5 million. Designed by Lockwood de Forest Jr. in 1949, the former Russian player’s home is an amalgamation of vintage aesthetics with modern amenities. Given that she lives in California with family despite four properties in Santa Barbara, her location might have been a Californian beach.
After her retirement in 2020, Sharapova became a businesswoman. However, her life changed with Theo in 2022. In an interview with the Guardian, she delved deeper into how her life’s major decisions are based on taking care of Theo and how much she loves this responsibility.

If I was competing, then it meant I’d had a successful tournament. Now I appreciate that I can dedicate weekends to Theo.” She also confessed to the Guardian that she loves British Sunday roast, a tradition followed by her British partner.
“I like a British Sunday roast. We’ll go to the Surprise in Chelsea or the Pelican in Notting Hill. My fiancé [auctioneer Alexander Gilkes] is British, so I get all the British traditions.
