When it comes to the real title contenders, there is hardly anyone who will not put Iga Swiatek’s name on that list. After her dominant run in the group stages, she has made a bold statement as she eyes for the title glory. What makes her journey to the semis more intriguing is the fact that out of all the matches played, she barely lost a set.

From defeating tournament favorites like Coco Gauff 6-0, 7-5 to silencing Marketa Vondrousova 7-6, 6-0, she seems to have conquered it all. In her final group match against Ons Jabeur, she maintained her crisp form and defeated the Tunisian star quite comfortably with a scoreline of 6-1, 6-2.

On the other hand, Sabalenka did not have the best of the tournaments so far. After defeating Maria Sakkari in a one-sided dominance, she fell out against Jessica Pegula. However, in a do-or-die match, she faced Elena Rybakina! In what was a 3-set-thriller, she maintained her calmness and laid hands on a staggering victory. With a scoreline of 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, she made her way into the semis.

Swiatek vs Sabalenka: Head-to-head
