It’s Super Sunday and we’re all set for the mega final at the 2025 Winners Open! Playing her first tournament as a top seed, Anastasia Potapova has now reached her first final since 2023. This is, in fact, her sixth final appearance overall, and she will be facing Italy’s Lucia Bronzetti in this epic Grand Finale in Cluj-Napoca. For Bronzetti, this is her fourth Tour-level final and she will be eyeing to clinch her second career title. The Italian hasn’t won a title since 2023 Rabat! Can she defeat Potpova in the epic battle?

This season though, she looked pretty ordinary in the Australian swing. However, she made a strong comeback at the Linz Open where she reached the QF. Even in Cluj-Napoca, she has looked quite impressive so far! Potapova will enter the final match following her two-set win over the Belarusian tennis player, Aliaksandra Sasnovich in the SF.

Lucia Bronzetti has now reached her first hard-court final and guess what she didn’t have to put much effort into booking her spot in the final! The Czech star, Katerina Siniakova gave her a walkover in the semis when she was leading 4-0 in the first set in the semis. Talking about Bronzetti’s performance in the last season, she reached the QF of the Morocco Open but was defeated by America’s Peyton Stearns by 4-6,6-4,5-7. She even won a title at the WTA 125K Contrexeville, FR, and reached the SF at the Jasmin Open and the Guangzhou Open.

In 2025, Bronzetti has already made quite a few early exits, but her performance at Cluj-Napoca has truly been praiseworthy so far. Can she keep her winning run intact?

Prediction: Potapova to win in three sets

Both the players have navigated the draw quite impressively and guess what? They’re yet to lose a set in Cluj-Napoca! If Lucia Bronzetti wins this match, she will get herself close to the Top 50 in the world rankings. However, it won’t be easy beating Anastasia Potapova on this surface! If we take a look at their performances in the last few months. Anastasia Potapova (32) had a win-loss record of 26-22 in the last season, while she has recorded 9-3 in the 2025 season so far. On the other hand, Lucia Bronzetti (72) had a win-loss record of just 21-27 in 2024, but this season, her win-loss record has been 5-4 so far.

Considering all these factors and their H2H record, Potapova has a bit of an edge over Bronzetti in this epic matchup. However, considering their form in this tournament, it’s expected that this match will surely go a little deeper!

Talking about their playing styles, Anastasia Potapova has an aggressive style of play. Her ability to hit winners from any position on the court makes her a real threat, especially at indoor tournaments. Potapova’s aggressive baseline game is well-suited to indoor hard courts as well. She will be looking forward to dictating most of the rallies and will be the favorite to win them if she manages to keep her composure. However, we’ve seen Bronzetti struggle a bit against big hitters in the past. She doesn’t always look too comfortable against powerful groundstrokes.

Talking about Potapova’s weaknesses, her tendency to be inconsistent, especially in tight matches, has been a major concern for her over the years. Lucia Bronzetti’s strong backhand may pose some challenges for Potapova in this match, but is it enough to upset the Russian? Probably not. The prediction is for Anastasia Potapova to win the match in three sets.
