Serena Williams is probably the best ever female to play the game of tennis. The 40-year-old has dominated the game for over two decades. Recently, the 40-year-old surprised her fans when she announced a comeback after a long hiatus of almost a year.

However, her comeback didn’t last long as the 23-time Grand Slam champion lost in her first-round match of the Wimbledon Championship. Playing against Harmony Tan of France, she looked pretty competitive. Although she could not end up on the winning side, the 40-year-old has still got the fire to compete.
While the talks about her retirement have resurfaced, Serena has clarified that she was not retiring. Recently, in an interview former director of tennis at Nike, Mike Nakajima gave his opinion on Serena’s future.
What does ex-Nike director has to say on Serena’s retirement?
We all know how good a player Serena Williams is, but the former director of tennis at Nike, Mike Nakajima, threw light on the other aspects of the legend. He spoke about her business ventures and investments. Nakajima believes that, since she has kept herself involved in so many things, it will hardly matter when she stops to play.
?She?s had her hands in so many different things, so many interests, so many passions, that I think in a lot of ways it won?t matter when she stops. Serena will always be Serena,? he said.
Serena indeed has many investments, but it is tennis that helped her reach such heights.

Serena Williams has no plans to retire yet
Serena crashed out of?Wimbledon Championships?2022, after losing her first-round match. However, the 40-year-old has remained confident about her game and will not be retiring. Speaking to the press after her match, Serena expressed her disappointment over losing a close match. Also, she hinted at playing in the US Open later this year.
“The US Open was the place where I won my first slam. It’s super-special. There’s definitely a lot of motivation to get better and play at home,”?the 40-year-old American?said.
