‘Hate’Em’ – Martina Navratilova Makes Her Stance Clear After Conservatives Side With Donald Trump’s Remarks Against Brittney Griner

Former Czech-American tennis player Martina Navratilova has shown her support for the WNBA star Brittney Griner. On social media, she often expressed her feelings regarding the trial of a basketball player in Russia.

After the unfortunate news of Griner, many showed their support for the American basketball player, including Navratilova. Meanwhile, the former tennis player is not happy with the comments Donald Trump made regarding Griner. Moreover, the Conservatives are also siding with the former President of America.

Earlier, the 18-time Grand Slam champion, Navratilova took to Twitter and reacted to the news. She wrote, “Hate’em.“

Notably, the former US President, Trump, commented about Griner, “She went in there loaded up with drugs into a hostile territory where they’re very vigilant about drugs. They don’t like drugs. And she got caught.”

Moreover, Trump called Griner, “a potentially spoiled person.” Meanwhile, a few conservative experts, Dinesh D’Souza, Tomi Lahren, Tim Young, and others showed support for Trump and his comments on Griner. 

Notably, Griner received a 9-year prison sentence after a trial in Russia regarding the possession of cannabis oil. During the trial, she talked about carrying cannabis for medical purposes. Despite the plea, the court found her guilty.

Earlier, Navratilova felt “ridiculous and sad” after hearing the news. Moreover, she felt Griner has been a part of a political game.

Not the first time Navratilova took a dig at Trump

Meanwhile, this was not the first instance, the 18-time Grand Slam champion took a dig at Trump, as she criticized him for supporting the LIV Golf Series over the PGA tour. Notably, Trump called the PGA tour “disloyal” to its players and sided with the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Series. Also, he believed there will be a merger in the future between PGA and LIV.
