Coco Gauff (19) and Emma Raducanu (21) are two of the most talked about players in the tennis world. They were in the Top 5 of the highest-paid list in 2022. However, in 2023, Coco became the world’s highest-paid female athlete. But where does the British tennis sensation stand on the list this time around? Emma Raducanu didn’t play much tennis in 2023. However, her off-court exploits helped her in getting featured in the Top 5 list of highest-earning female athletes in 2023.

As per the list published by Sportico, 7 out of 10 female athletes are from tennis. Tennis players have always dominated the list when it came to earnings. But when it comes to leading the group of millionaires, Cristiano Ronaldo yet again stood first in the Top 100 with a staggering $275 M. Let’s find out more names from the list.

The 2023 season was remarkable for the 19YO American tennis star. Apart from winning a total of 4 titles, she also won her maiden Grand Slam title at the US Open. Coco Gauff also reached the number 3 spot in the women’s singles ranking. These performances on the court helped her rack up a few mega deals and endorsements off the court. Additionally, Gauff was named the most marketable women’s tennis player in the world last year.

Coco Gauff secured the top spot of the world’s highest-paid female athlete with $22.7 M, of which $16 M came from her endorsements and the rest from her prize money. Iga Swiatek was in the second spot with $21.9 M. However, Emma Raducanu was placed at the fourth spot with a total of $16.2 M, out of which $16 M came from her endorsements.

Gauff managed to secure the top spot on the female’s list. However, she was nearly $10 M short of the cut-off of the Top 100 athletes. Sportico’s annual feature on the world’s highest-paid athletes, which was published on Wednesday, featured no women in the Top 100 list. Since 2010, there has been only one other occasion in 2018, when no women made it into this list.
