After a heartbreaking exit from the Miami Open, Coco Gauff is now setting her sights on the clay courts as she prepares for the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, which kicks off on April 14. Interestingly, the winner of this WTA 500 clay-court tournament gets a brand-new Porsche car. The two-time champion of this tournament, Iga Swiatek, once admitted, “I have more cars, but yeah there’s always space for Porsche.” Does Gauff have a similar love for this renowned German automobile manufacturing brand? Well, previously, it was perceived that, unlike her peers, Gauff had no notable affinity towards luxury cars. But recently, the American star was spotted enjoying a luxurious ride in ‘The Sunshine State.‘
Coco Gauff started to learn to drive at a very early age. During the 2020 AO, she revealed that, like many American 15-year-olds, she also learned how to drive in hopes of getting a license as quickly as possible. Although she got a permit, parking the car was a major issue Coco faced in her early days.
Speaking about her early experiences of driving on US motorways, she once said, “My dad lets me drive more than my mum. I try to force her to let me drive. I need the practice. When I’m 16 and I get my license, I’m going to be going to fast food places Chick-fil-A, and everywhere without my parents. Honestly, the first time I drove on a highway was really nerve-wracking for me. Also, driving with my brothers in the car was nerve-wracking.”

Gauff and her two brothers, Codey and Cameron, are often seen traveling together to various places, but she once revealed that her brothers are not big fans of her driving skills. “One of my brothers gives me good criticism when it comes to driving. But they get mad when I drive slowly. I don’t understand. I’m driving the speed limit, but that’s slow for them.”
However, fast forward to 2025, Gauff has improved her driving skills quite a bit. Even on the roads, she is now a mature driver! The 21-year-old recently shared a few glimpses of her luxurious ride in a Porsche on her IG story. She captioned that small video clip with, “love south florida.“
Note: Porsche’s market cap as of April 7, 2025, is $43.16 billion, according to companiesmarketcap.com.

Gauff currently owns a few stunning beasts in her garage, including a Mercedes-Benz GLC and also Jaguar F-Pace SVR. When Coco turned 18, her father gifted her the first car as a birthday present. Back then, she said, “Yeah, I mean, he’s kind of, I feel like, more of a present for himself (her father). I don’t like driving at all, to be honest. So, he’s like, you need to get a car, because, like, 16, he wanted to get me one, I was like, I don’t want one, and 17 you know, he wanted to get me one and he’s like, I’m tired of driving you everywhere, so, here’s your car.“
Gauff once also revealed that when she won her first Grand Slam check, her brother wanted her to buy a Bugatti. Did she buy that, though? Well, not really. “I don’t like to spend money. When I had my first Grand Slam check, I wanted a car, but my dad had already bought it, and I don’t know what to buy now. My brother always said he wanted a Bugatti. I told him you better make it big if you want a Bugatti,” Coco said.
