Recently, the two sisters were involved in a candid conversation where they were discussing the importance of being confident and their role models.
Serena Williams reveals her role model
Venus and Serena featured in the March 2022 issue of Harper’s BAZAAR cover story. Further, in the ‘Explains it All’ series, Venus asked Serena, “You’re a role model for so many people and you just pave the way for so many athletes of all kinds. How does that make you feel?”
The younger Williams sister replied, “It makes me feel good. I never started out to be a role model. You were actually always my role model. I’ve done some things that were…” Venus interrupted her and said, “You did everything perfect.” Serena laughed and said, “I did everything perfectly perfect.”
