Emma Raducanu is not ready to disappoint her fans this year at Wimbledon! After missing the grass slam in 2023, the 2021 US Open champion has returned, and she is here to stay. Vying for her career’s second Grand Slam at Wimbledon, Raducanu not only wants to win and show her physical prowess on-court but also wants to reveal her bubbly side to the world!

As the 18-year-old Emma Raducanu became the only qualifier to win a slam, fans’ expectation to see her incredible skills on-court reach an even higher peak. Unfortunately, she would struggle since her victory, with wrist and ankle injuries requiring surgeries. As a result, the former British No. 1 was away from the spotlight from April 2023. However, the 21-year-old has returned to action once again!

Naturally, her hunger for success has grown, and now she wants to win not only for herself but also for her fans! I just really want them to see that I’m putting my personality on the court, my character, being bubbly, happy, energetic. I think you can really tell the difference, especially with me, when I’m in a good place compared to when I’m struggling a little bit more with confidence or something….And now I want them to see I’m happy…, Raducanu told The Guardian.

Emma Raducanu is “looking forward” to play and fulfill her Wimbledon dreams

“I was horrible. Like, it was horrible!” Emma Raducanu said about not being able to play Wimbledon last season. Furthermore, what added more to her misery was going to the ground only to complete her sponsorship obligations. However, a year has passed since then, and Raducanu is happy to be “on the other side of it (injury struggles).” Currently, she is “just very happy to be actually playing” on-court.
