After winning hearts by revealing her mother’s inspirations, Raducanu’s bestie made an adorable addition to this WTA star’s fondness for her mommy. As the British tennis player gears up for Wimbledon’s grasscourt season, her “most proved possession” revealed her source of strength, which lies in her family.

Podcast host Roman Kemp made an interesting video with Emma Raducanu as a part of Vodafone UK’s paid promotion, Vodafone a Friend. Kemp shared this clip on his official Instagram post where people spotted Raducanu’s best friend Shauna interacting with Kemp and revealing many secrets or unheard facts about the British WTA star.

While all of the questions were amazing, Shauna’s careful attention towards Raducanu to name her most priced possession correctly delighted the fraternity with an unexpected glee. While being asked about it, Raducanu’s bestie Shauna responded, “The pearl bracelet that your mom got you. yeah, is it that one?” The British US Open champion was quick enough to drop her adorable smile hearing her bestie’s appropriate answers and then confirmed it with a “yeah.” 

For Raducanu, her family has been a great pillar of her support. She once told to the Dailymail that her parents’ always-pushing character drove her to win a Grand Slam, which has been one of her career’s pivotal points. This British WTA star went a step further to reveal how her mother has influenced her passion and hard work.

“It has to be my mum. Her work ethic is something that she’s instilled in me from a young age; I definitely got that from her. She’s very strong and she is great at reading people, which I’ve also picked from her”- Raducanu said while being asked about her role model. For Raducanu, her mother has not been just a part of her cliched familiar emotions, but she inherited her work values from her mother. This is seen when the British WTA star delved into her life motto showing how that has also been inspired by her mother.

“Something my mum always told me: <一步一步走>, which means to go step by step. When tasks or things seem daunting at first or like a big mountain, if you go step by step and look at the first thing in front of you, then hopefully things, over time, they aren’t as scary and difficult”- Raducanu said.

While this British former US Open champion’s favorite possession helped to explain how important her mother is to Raducanu, it also showed the lush greens of the Wimbledon Centre Court, where Raducanu has been selected as one of the 14 wildcards.

With her mother, Raducanu received a lot of pats on the back from her father, who motivated her in her hard work. “My dad would do lessons with me in the backyard. And I think it is good for everyone to play tennis with the families because it makes it fun and it is always a great feeling when you can beat them,”- she said.

Raducanu’s revelations also shed light on how supportive his father was. When Raducanu mentioned how her father drove her to different clubs, the fraternity could understand Ion Raducanu’s immense love for his daughter.
