While the action is heating up on the tennis court, there are also some great bonds developing between players. Take the example of the trio of BFFs, Aryna Sabalenka, Paula Badosa, and Ons Jabeur. The three have formed a great friendship on and off the court and are often seen hanging out with each other. Looks like their group is set to grow further as Badosa and Emma Raducanu were spotted in a warm exchange.

As the 2024 Wimbledon Championships begins on Monday, players have been sweating it out on the grass courts during training sessions. This is not the first time that Badosa and Raducanu have been involved in a warm exchange. Earlier this week, Raducanu achieved a big milestone in her career after defeating Jessica Pegula at Eastbourne International. With her win over the second seed there, Raducanu, for the first time in her career, defeated a player ranked in the top 10 of the WTA rankings. Pegula is ranked fifth in the world and it was a historic triumph for the British tennis sensation.

As a result, Raducanu made a candid confession about how fans could see a different side of her at the tournament. During an interview, she said, “I just really want them to see that I’m putting my personality on the court, my character, being bubbly, happy, energetic. I think you can really tell the difference, especially with me, when I’m in a good place compared to when I’m struggling a little bit more with confidence or something….And now I want them to see I’m happy…”

However, Raducanu’s task has been made difficult after being handed a tough draw. She will open her campaign against the 22nd seed, Ekaterina Alexandrova. Can Raducanu shrug off her poor form this year and spring a surprise on her home turf? Let us know your views in the comments below.
