The stage is set, and the grass is ready for the Women’s Singles final at the 2021 Wimbledon Championship. In the most anticipated game of the tournament, as World No.1, Ashleigh Barty takes on a former World No. 1, Karolina Pliskova.

Ashleigh has been dominant throughout the tournament. In spite of a hard fight from Germany’s Angelique Kerber, Barty won the semi-final clash in straight sets. She’s looked agile, energetic, and lethal in attack. She also put up a defensive masterclass, as she got the better of her opponent, reminding everyone why she is ranked No. 1 after all.

Karolina, on the other hand, was no less than her fellow finalist. Against young blood, Aryna Sabalenka, who kept attacking relentlessly, Karolina kept her composure. Losing the first set, she came back from behind, winning the game 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

What time does the game begin?

The All-important Women’s singles final will take place on the 10th of July. However, the starting time of the match is yet to be decided. The weather so far this week has been pleasant and players will hope it stays like that.
