Despite the intensity on the court heating up as the season progresses, women’s tennis has seen many close and friendly bonds develop. Take the example of Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki. While the two were strong rivals on the court, they often hung out with each other off the court. Additionally, the duo also shared some hilarious exchanges over the years. A similar bond is developing between two of the top tennis stars on the women’s circuit currently, Aryna Sabalenka and Ons Jabeur.

With the Wimbledon Championships coming up, Sabalenka and Jabeur have already arrived here and were involved in a fun practice session earlier today on the Centre Court. Up until 2021, players were barred from practicing on this court but with injuries mounting while training on outside courts, Wimbledon has allowed the players to practice on the Centre Court. Sabalenka and Jabeur made full use of the conditions and had some vital practice alongside making fun moves.

Wimbledon’s official Instagram handle shared glimpses from BFFs Sabalenka and Jabeur’s training session. The duo was seen shaking their legs and making some killer dance moves. Additionally, they also drew heart shapes with their fingers, denoting how much they loved each other’s company. While there is only a four-year age gap between the duo, Saba made a heart in the Gen Z style while Jabeur did it the Millenial way!

Further, in one clip, the Tunisian can be seen replicating Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous ‘Siuuu’ celebration after hitting an ace. She didn’t stop there as she bowed down to perform push-ups after Sabalenka hit a no-look shot. All-in-all, it was a fun session out there for Sabalenka and Jabeur, who look in good shape with just days left for the tournament.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that the duo has shown how much each other’s company means to them. A missing piece here is Paula Badosa, who is also good friends with Sabalenka and Jabeur and the trio has formed an unbreakable bond. Recently, Jabeur had a candid take on her BFFs.

Ons Jabeur calls Aryna Sabalenka and Paula Badosa’kids’

Playing at the highest level, the three tennis stars often come along with each other while playing in the same tournaments. With time, their bond has grown and this once led Jabeur to have a hilarious take on Badosa and Sabalenka.

Earlier this year, Jabeur was involved in a conversation with Tennis Channel, where she showed her funny side, as she often does. She said, “They’re both kids, you know, so I’m here as a psychologist between them. No, I love both, obviously. I think Aryna and Paula have a connection of the fashion. I wore this, I wore that, I bought this new, and I’m like I go to the real thing you know, what do you need, let’s go have dinner you know.”

While Sabalenka and Jabeur’s friendship grew first, Badosa was added to their group. When the latter was struggling with form and injuries, the two became her pillars of support, and talking about Badosa, Jabeur continued, “We got a bit more close with Paula lately you know and I really wish her all the best. I think she’s struggling a little bit right now but I know she’s going to come back stronger.”

The three BFFs will be seen in action at Wimbledon next week. While Sabalenka is one of the favorites to win the title there, it’ll be interesting to see how Jabeur and Badosa fare in the tournament.
