British tennis star Emma Raducanu had a brilliant start to her career. To come into the US Open through the qualifiers and going all the way to lift the title was an incredible feat. While the Briton did the unthinkable, she failed to replicate it when people started expecting great things from her. After having a disastrous 2022 season, she again started this campaign in a disappointing fashion. She lost to Coco Gauff in the second round and crashed out of the Australian Open.
While fans are expecting lesser from her after every passing day, the Briton sensation has got the backing of her former coach. Here’s what Dmitry Tursunov thinks about Raducanu’s future.

Dmitry Tursunov still believes in Emma Raducanu
When Emma Raducanu did the unthinkable at the 2021 US Open, Tursunov was the special person guiding her through the journey. Although the two parted ways soon after that, the Russian is still backing the 20-year-old to come out of this difficult period.
After failing to do anything significant in the 2022 season, some fans have given up on Raducanu. However, Tursunov believes that the fire is still there inside Raducanu and believes she will find a way to turn things around.
Here’s what he said. “Sooner or later, she’s going to sort it out. She loves tennis too much not to figure it out. It’s just a question of how long it will take her & how difficult the road will be. But I think she’s the person who’s willing to go a bumpy road”

While the Russian has full belief in his former ward, it will be interesting to see if Raducanu actually proves him right.

Raducanu provides an update on her comeback plans
After an injury-laden 2022, Raducanu sustained another injury in the first Grand Slam of the year. The 20-year-old is yet to play a match after losing her second-round match at the Australian Open. However, the wait is going to end soon as Briton announced her plans to return soon.

Raducanu confirmed that she is going to make a comeback in the upcoming ATX Open. The 20-year-old has not had a great start to the year. However, the way she started, we all know that she has the potential to challenge the biggest stars in the sport.
