Jessica Pegula is ready to go the extra mile as she faces Sofia Kenin in the US Open’s R2. However, it’s not just her on-court prowess that’s catching attention; her down-to-earth approach to life has also caught attention. Just a day before her match against Sofia Kenin, Jessica Pegula shared a heartfelt video of herself taking the metro in New York City to get to her practice session.

In the video, she wrote, “Omw to @usopen …Forever a 🚊 > 🚙 girl,” highlighting her preference for using the metro over luxurious cars.” Whereas, Pegula can be seen saying, “I don’t like taking a car and I like train. So I always try and take the train. Am I go in the right way? Now, what do I do? I think we’re going the right direction. Actually, in juniors, I used to sometimes take the train to the courts.”
