Rybakina’s sister, Ann Rybakina, has been by her sister’s side on all the important occasions. One can see her in the stands often. She was also there to support her sister before the 2023 Roland Garros.

Ann is Elena’s elder sister and is not a tennis player. However, she matches her sister’s energy whenever she needs to support her. Rybakina talked about this side of her sister, who gave her unconditional support at the pre-tournament conference of the 2023 French Open. I think she’s actually helping a lot, because [tennis], it’s still a jobYou practice all days, kind of the same routine. With her, if I go back to the room or we go to dinner, we can talk about something else, not only tennis.”

Her sister also shows a lot of energy, which makes the tennis star glad for her presence. She’s very positive. Also a lot of energy from her. So it’s just nice that we are able to spend time together. And, yeah, I think she’s also helping, especially if you have a bad day or something, she’s the one always positive. So it’s good.”

While this instance is from the 2023 season, fans could also see the passion Ann has for supporting Elena in the 2024 Australian Open. During the unfortunate round 2 clash of Elena, fans couldn’t help but focus on her sister’s reactions.

Ann exhibits emotion in the 2024 Australian Open 

Elena Rybakina met defeat at the hands of Anna Blinkova in the second round of the Australian Open. The match went to a tie-break in the third set, and the two players broke the record of the longest tiebreaker in any Grand Slam. While the two were having a tough time, Ann was experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions on her own. 

Whenever the broadcast would focus on her, fans at home could see that the increasing set had been pushing her to her mental limits as well. Sadly, her elder sister went on to lose the bout and could not feature in the final once again. However, she is now in the final of one of the biggest tournaments of the year.
