Often, we saw him posting and promoting women’s games using his social media platform. Recently, he expressed his views regarding women’s sports, as he made a comparison between NASCAR and F1.
Alexis Ohanian becomes vocal about people discrediting women’s sports
Proud investor of the Angel City FC, Ohanian recently came across a study where it showed the investment in women’s soccer is really less comparing it men’s soccer irrespective of the quality. Earlier, Ohanian took to Twitter and shared that study and in the caption, he wrote, “I would love to fund a larger study. Let’s do this: publish all the process + results online. I’m confident that—with a large enough sample—a majority of men will still end up picking the women’s match.”
Notably, Ohanian made his feelings very clear about people discrediting women’s sports for the quality factor. Speaking about it, he said, “Having bias is a part of being human, but I will never understand folks who’d roll over and decide they don’t want to try and be better.”

Moreover, he made a comparison between NASCAR and F1 to prove his point. “Fun exercise: why don’t people criticize NASCAR for being “inferior” to F1 because the cars aren’t as fast, tracks aren’t as complex, etc…,” Ohanian further said.
