The party before the WTA finals garnered a lot of attention. Talking about this, Shriver mentioned an interesting turn of events. She described how she met a long-time friend who unknowingly let her know about this.

In the podcast, Shriver let loose about the situation, she said: “I had a little tip-off that something like this was happening because a good friend of mine who lives here in LA, who’s worked as a physical therapist on the WTA tour for over 30 years.” She then went further into the details as she explained: “We were talking and she was like, I can’t figure out what nice white outfit to bring.”

Shriver mentioned how she was a bit surprised as well as confused. In her words: “I go, ‘Woah! what do you mean, like a nice white outfit?’. I’m like, ‘Why does it have to be white?’ And it’s like, well, ‘They told us we have to wear all white. And that’s all I knew'”.

Shriver finally pieced it all together as she says: “I was like, ‘Are you talking about on the court? When you go out for treatment?’. They’re like, ‘No’. And then I realized it was a party. And then when I saw the photo, I’m like, Whoa, it wasn’t just the players”. However, it seems like some don’t need to follow the rules.
