In an interview, Zheng talked about the sacrifices her family made, which included maintaining distance from her at an early age. “They support me, they did a big sacrifice for my tennis, and really, thank you for them. Sometimes you have to be long distance. My father, I didn’t see him for more than one year. So I’m really happy that my family can all be here,” she said.

Along with that, Zheng also expressed deep admiration for her parents, who played a major part in her success. “I think I cannot do it without them because they really make some important decisions for me in my tennis career.” As the tennis star gave out emotional facts about her glorious career, she also added an emotional angle to her persona.
