‘Why Am I Laughing So Hard..’- Coco Gauff’s Daredevil Act in New Zealand Draws Polarising Reactions From Jessica Pegula and Alycia Parks

2023 US Open Champion Coco Gauff recently shocked the world based on how she started her new year. Gauff celebrated the beginning of a new year by bungee jumping her way from the Auckland Sky Tower. She even posted a video about it where she can be seen jumping from the tower and landing on the base.

Her family also accompanied her while she was doing this. Her brother Codey Gauff was also there and participated in the bungee jumping adventure with her. However, after she posted her whole experience of jumping, other tennis players reacted to it in very different ways especially Jessica Pegula and Alycia Parks on her post.

After Gauff posted the pictures and videos from her bungee jumping experience, a lot of her fans and friends commented on her post. In the video, she can be seen screaming as she jumps and then when she lands, she seems to be very happy that she tried this fun experience.

Jessica Pegula reacted to this post with the comment, “Why am I laughing so hard at the video 😂”. It is because she found the video to be very funny probably because of the screaming and how scared Coco Gauff was when she jumped.

On the other hand, Alycia Parks wrote, “Omg that is actually brave asf😭👏🏾”. Her reaction was more towards applauding her for doing such a brave thing despite being scared of such a height. The reactions these two tennis players gave on her post were poles apart and show the kind understanding her fans may have also gotten from the video. Further, Coco Gauff also shared how her entire family participated in this activity with her except her father.

Gauff’s father Corey Gauff did not participate in the bungee jumping with his family

In a series of Instagram stories from her official account, Coco Gauff shared how her brother Codey Gauff did the bungee jumping adventure with her from the Auckland Sky Tower. However, it is only her father who did not join them because he is very much afraid of heights.

She wrote on her story that her dad and heights do not mix well which is why he did not participate. But other members of her family including her brothers and mother also participated in the activity with her. Later they also celebrated the fireworks at the tower together from where she had jumped the same day.
