Later on, the Danish tennis defended herself by stating that she has a good relationship with Williams. In that statement, Wozniacki made a bizarre revelation that surprised a plethora of tennis fans.

The former Australian Open champion once played an exhibition match against Maria Sharapova in Brazil as part of the Gillette Federer Tour of South America. During that match, Caroline Wozniacki did a bizarre impersonation of her fellow tennis player, Serena Williams. As a result, Wozniacki faced major criticism from tennis fans.
However, the former Danish tennis player later revealed that it was only meant as a joke. Wozniacki added that she never would’ve done that impersonation if she wasn’t friends with the 23-time Grand Slam champion. The Dane went on to say, “And hey, who wouldn’t want big b**bs?”
Williams and Wozniacki have remained good friends throughout their tennis journey. Despite some controversies, both retired stars have previously teamed up for the doubles event at the ASB Classic in 2020. Apart from performing on the tennis court together, the duo was also spotted at a music concert in 2015.

A plethora of tennis fans accused Wozniacki of racism after she impersonated the American tennis icon. However, Williams later came out to support her friend by stating that she knows Wozniacki to be her friend. The American legend went on to say that Wozniacki didn’t mean “anything racist” by her impersonation act during the match.

The 6-time US Open champion further added that she hadn’t watched the controversial video as she was in Mauritius at the time. Williams further expressed her disappointment by saying that other tennis players have also impersonated her physique, like Andy Roddick and Novak Djokovic.
