The 2024 French Open women’s final is special for two reasons. First, Iga Swiatek is chasing history with her 3rd consecutive title. And second,  Jasmine Paolini would be playing her maiden Grand Slam final. The tennis fans are excited whether the 28-year-old Italian could break Pole’s dominance at the Roland Garros. However, among all the conundrums about history and wins, both players are getting ready to fight it out on the court. As the whole of Italy rallies after Paolini, she might have a special surprise waiting for her in the audience! Her brother.

Moreover, it’s not just the French Open singles trophy that the Italian would be fitting for. But simultaneously for the doubles too. However,  Jasmine is not the only Paolini in the tennis circuit. Her younger brother William also shares her passion for the racquet. The elder Paolini sibling is ready to script history and  if William’s Instagram story is proof, he is there to support her. In his story, he shared a snippet of the lit Eiffel Tower in Paris, while traveling.

It is highly likely that he will be sitting in her corner, rooting for her throughout the finals. However, this is not the first time that William would be sitting in his sister’s box. Back in April, he was there to witness his sisters’s feat as she beat her archnemesis Caroline Garfia for the first time in straight sets! 

Although William keeps a low profile with his tennis journey and accolades, the younger Paolini is certainly keeping up with his practice, which is evident through his various posts. Also with the current Italian players who are clashing for the title round including his sister. He shared the proud moment for the nation’s tennis, as Italians would be playing finals in 3 categories; women’s singles, women’s, and men’s doubles!

As Paolini gets ready to face the World no.1, any kind of support would matter as she plays her first final. Consequently, World no.15  didn’t forget to thank her doubles partner and friend for her constant support throughout the French Open.

Jasmine Paolini’s doubles partner ‘helps her play’

As Jasmine was gearing up for semifinals in the both (singles and doubles) category with her partner Sara Errani, during a post-match interview, she was asked about how the presence of her doubles partner in the box helped her during singles. Former World No. 12 was quick to praise her compatriot and said, “She’s helping me so much to play.” |

Paolini further explained how Errani has helped her get better throughout the tournament, as she leveraged her previous experience as a finalist. “With her, I can talk about tennis, I can ask her strategies but also advice. How to step on-court, what can I play today to play better? It’s somebody that I think can help me so much. She already did a Grand Slam final. So she already has been in this position. So I think it’s just someone that can help me in many aspects.”
