According to Borges’ LinkedIn profile, he is the director of Made to Measure North America at Tom Ford. He started his run with Tom Ford in 2016 as a specialist. He then became Director in 2017 and continues in the role. It is a garment venture that makes custom suits through personal appointments.

In this role, he is responsible for overseeing and managing Tom Ford’s business in the region. Apart from this, he is also a model. Borges comes from a humble background, and although he was born in Spain, he has lived for almost his entire life in Finland.

Borges also has multiple degrees to his credit. In 2009, he graduated in Business Administration from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. Earlier, he was also a part of the Erasmus Exchange Program in 2006. In 2003, he completed the vocational qualification in Business Administration.

Talking about her fiancee, Muguruza once acknowledged that a mix of nationalities was something that they related to each other. Muguruza said, “He’s a mix, like me. I’m half-Venezuelan and half-Spanish, so we understand each other. We share that feeling of being citizens of the world.”

Their initial meeting was quite random. Muguruza and Borges met at the 2021 US Open, and it was love at first sight for the two after meeting on the streets of Central Park. After their engagement last year, Muguruza detailed her exciting love story.

How did the couple meet?

During an interview, the Spanish tennis star reminisced about the time she caught up with Borges during the 2021 US Open. She said, “My hotel was close to Central Park, and I was bored, so I thought I should go for a walk. I go out, and I run into him on the street. Suddenly, he turns and says, ‘Good luck at the U.S. Open.’ I was left thinking, ‘Wow, he’s so handsome.”

Muguruza reached the fourth round of the US Open that year. Since then, Borges has often been seen at Muguruza’s matches and was even present in her box during the 2021 WTA Finals.

With Muguruza calling time on her illustrious career, she intends to spend quality time with Borges. With marriage plans in mind, it is set to be happily ever after for Muguruza and Borges.
