It has been long since Sloane Stephens found herself out of top-level scenes. While the WTA star once enjoyed the glorious view with her presence in the top 20, her sudden drop from the position was quite disappointing for the fans. While everyone still expects to hear her plan on boosting up once again, she recently opened up about it.

Sloane Stephens was unable to show an evident switch in her rankings this year. She highlighted her confusion over the lack of movement in her ranking throughout the year, mentioning, “I would love to be back in the top 20. And like I was telling my coach the other day I was like you know my ranking hasn’t moved in like a year. Who are these people playing these matches? Like, where are they getting these points from?” she wondered, reflecting on her own absence from the competitive scene.

“The Olympics is no money, just pride. If you don’t make it, you still have an opportunity to go and play another tournament and make money and continue. So that’s not too bad,” she added. As the tennis star still struggles with her rankings, it still remains to be seen if she will be able to figure out a way of boosting it once again.
