Canadian tennis star Leylah Fernandez made headlines with her brilliant tennis display at the 2021 US Open. However, the young tennis star has failed to replicate a similar performance in the year 2022. While she has already gained the experience of a Grand Slam final, the 20-year-old would now look to solidify her position on the WTA rankings.
The Canadian tennis star is pretty close to her family and particularly to her father. The 20-year-old recently posted some memorable photographs with her father on social media.

Canadian tennis star Leylah Fernandez recently took to her Instagram account to share a couple of beautiful pictures of her childhood with her father. What makes the pictures more special is the fact that both Leylah and her father have different emotions on their face in each picture.

“It’s called versatility ladies and gents. Which expression of my dad are you this Friday 1 or 2?!” Fernandez wrote in the caption.
In the first picture, we can see a cute smile on little Leylah’s face. Her father admirably looks at her smiling. Contrastingly, in the second picture, Leylah is crying. Her father also gave a tense reaction in the picture.
The picture beautifully depicts the relationship between a father and daughter. It also shows how parents’ world revolved around their kids.

Coming from Canada, Fernandez didn’t have the environment for tennis. Tennis is not very popular in Canada and if a kid wants to make her career in it, the parents are likely to discourage her.

Even though tennis was not very popular, Fernandez always had the backing of her parents when she made up her mind to pick up the racket.
