Talking about the reason behind her desire to stay connected with tennis, Collins continued, “I’m really close with a lot of these girls, most of them, and I see how hard everyone works and how much heart and soul they put into [tennis] from the time that they’re like three years old, and the stories – I mean, it’s just incredible.”

She emphasized her intention to contribute to the game and support younger players after she freed herself from the duties of being a tennis player with immense expectations from the fans. “So I would like to help the game as much as I can and give back and especially for the younger players to be someone that can kind of help them through the challenging times,” she added.

“At this point I feel like I’m ready for the next chapter, and I’m really excited about it. I needed to have an end date and it gives my family and friends the ability to come support me in some final tournaments. I think that will be really special,” she said.
