The mercurial rise of 19-year-old Coco Gauff has seen her take the tennis world by storm. Recently, Gauff, the World No. 6 and World No. 4 in the WTA singles and doubles rankings respectively, impressed at the Billie Jean King Cup qualifier. Gauff represented USA and played an important role in making short work of the Austrian contingent.
Following her triumph in the qualifier, Gauff was hoping to watch the livestream of Frank Ocean’s performance at Coachella 2023. Unfortunately, Gauff’s hopes came crashing down. She took to Twitter to express her disappointment.

The reason for Frank Ocean’s livestream cancellation still isn’t very clear. Owing to the canceled livestream, only the people who are attending Coachella 2023 had the opportunity to witness Ocean’s performance.
After winning admirers for her endearing gesture at the Billie Jean King Cup, Gauff wanted to catch the livestream on a flight. Before its cancellation, she expressed happiness about the fact that the plane’s Wi-Fi was working.
“Just found out frank ocean’s coachella livestream is being canceled. went through the five stages a grief. on a flight rn and was so happy when I realized the wifi worked but oh well” wrote Gauff.

She concluded her tweet by encouraging those who are attending Ocean’s performance to capture videos so she can watch later. “Hope those that are there take a lot of videos”.
Frank Ocean fans were desperate for musician’s long-awaited comeback performance
When it was announced that Ocean would be a part of the Coachella 2023 lineup, his fans were in raptures. Even those who couldn’t attend Coachella wanted desperately to see the musician perform, as it marked his return to live performances. The last time Ocean performed live was in 2017, when he was one of the main acts of the Flow Festival in Helsinki, Finland.

However, Ocean’s fans were ultimately disappointed following the cancellation of his livestream. Ocean wasn’t the only one with a cancelled livestream. Bjork, the famous Icelandic singer-songwriter, also saw her livestream cancelled.

Gauff will have to leave her disappointment behind quite quickly. The American tennis prodigy is preparing for the 2023 French Open, which starts on May 28. Gauff will be hoping for things to go her way at the Stade Roland Garros as she looks to win her first ever Grand Slam title.
