Coco Gauff is having a memorable year with achievements both on and off the court. At just 18, she is already among the elite group in women’s tennis. Additionally, she is one of the few players who are at the top of their game in both singles and doubles categories.

Recently, Coco completed her coursework from the Florida Virtual Flex program and received her degree from the Florida Department of Education. Subsequently, she celebrated her success by posing for a picture in front of the Eiffel Tower. The American sensation is in Paris to participate in the French Open 2022. Many fellow players congratulated Coco on her fantastic achievement. Among them, was her compatriot and friend, Sloane Stephens.
Sloane Stephens in awe of Coco Gauff
The former US Open champion took to Instagram to congratulate Coco on her graduation. Sharing a story on her official Instagram handle, she said, “We love an educated queen!! So happy and proud of you cocofina.”

While Coco was traveling to play tournaments across the globe, she took home education classes over the past four years to balance her studies with her tennis career. Moreover, she also revealed how she adjusted to different time zones to communicate with her teachers.
Sloane Stephens backs the WTA
In the wake of Wimbledon banning Russian and Belarusian athletes, the WTA decided to strip ranking points from Wimbledon this year. Subsequently, coming out in support of the WTA, the American said, “I think the decision that was taken was the correct one. I think that there [are] a lot of things that happened behind the scenes that the press are not aware of, and I think there has been a lot of mishandling of how everything was handled. We will just go from there.”

During the ongoing French Open 2022, both Coco and Sloane advanced to the second round. While Sloane had to dig deep, Coco won her encounter in straight sets.
