Serena Williams about the film ‘King Richard’
Recalling the premiere of the film, Serena remembered how the film helped her rejoice and cherish the journey she underwent with her family to achieve what they have today.
“We changed fashion, we changed tennis, and we hit big shots, and we won and we lost, and we cried and we laughed. And that was the accumulation of all these moments. And it was a wonderful moment,” she said.
Hollywood star Will Smith played the titular role in the film and got the Academy Award for his performance in the film.

Serena was plying her trade in the National Bank Open, previously the Canadian Open. Playing on the hard court after over a year, the former world number 1 registered an impressive win in her first-round match. However, she failed to go past Belinda Bencic in her second-round match, losing in straight sets, 6-2 6-4.
The American will now take part in the Cincinnati Masters. It will be her last non-major tournament. As the draws for the tournament are out, we are in for a mouthwatering clash in Serena’s very first match. The 40-year-old will take the court against the US Open defending champion Emma Raducanu.
