The legendary tennis players and sisters, Venus and Serena Williams, recently had a fun time practicing together at the Citi Open. In preparation for the US Open, both sisters are sweating it out on the tennis court after missing most of the 2021 and 2022 seasons due to injury.

Meanwhile, in a recent post on social media, Serena teased a special date with her sister Venus. Serena also complimented her elder sister by saying some lovely words.

Earlier, Serena posted a story on her official Instagram handle, where she talked about going on a date with the coolest person. She said, Date night with probably the coolest person I know.

However, she did not reveal who it was until the next video. Only when her sister Venus entered the car, we knew about the identity of the mystery date. Later in the video, Serena further said, Lincoln keeps me suited and booted and we are off to races.

After their recent practice session at the Citi Open, both sisters are gelling quite well, as we often see them spending time together both on and off the court. Notably, Venus was in attendance during Serena’s first-round match at Wimbledon earlier this year as well.

Since making their professional debuts, both Venus and Serena have been dominating women’s tennis for more than two decades. When the sisters made their debut, many believed Venus would win the first ever Grand Slam title. However, Serena surprised everyone by winning the US Open in 1999.

However, it did not take long for Venus to win her first Grand Slam, as she triumphed at the Wimbledon Championships in 2000. Since then, Venus has won 7 Grand Slam singles titles in her career so far. As for Serena, she has won an astounding 23 Grand Slam titles and is widely considered the greatest female tennis player of all time.

Apart from their singles records, both Venus and Serena were quite the formidable pair in doubles tournaments, as they have won 14 Grand Slam titles together. Moreover, they have won multiple gold medals at the Olympics as well.

Currently, the Williams sisters are nearing the end of their careers, as Serena has been vying for her 24th Grand Slam title for a while now. This year’s US Open could be one of her final opportunities to match Margaret Court’s record. As for Venus, she would definitely want to go out on a high by winning at least one major before her eventual retirement.
