As she was ‘simply shocked’ after witnessing their US Open match, Venus also labeled Serena and herself as ‘partners and champions in doubles.’ The 5-time Wimbledon champion stated, “So I thought it would be a fun reaction video to do so you can kind of see my reaction to like our wonderful past as partners and champions in doubles.”

Commenting on her 1997 US Open match, Venus said, “I’m serving and volleying, which, by the way, I don’t even do anymore, my serve was totally different, but my one-hand volley was sick, one of the toughest shots in learning in tennis and this court coverage, wow. And Serena was like 16 and I just turned 17, we had matching outfits, matching beads.
