Serena Williams surely knows how to manage money earned from professional tennis. In 2014, Serena launched Serena Ventures with the goal of providing chances to entrepreneurs in a variety of sectors. Recently, the company donated $1 M to the winner of the Legacy Classic HBCU Startup Pitch Competition.

Serena Williams’ company to donate $1 M

Serena Williams‘ firm recently conducted a notable job. As promised, Serena Ventures, along with Michael B Jordan, contributed $1 M to the talented winner at the HBCU competition.

In an interview at the NBA game, Williams said, “It’s so amazing to partner up and really give people that have gone on HBCU an opportunity to invest in different ideas….  We did partner up with Mac Ventures which is why we have Michael B. Jordan there so we both together gave away that million dollars to HBCU alumni.”

Moreover, even previously, Serena Ventures has provided many donations across the country and has created a lot of opportunities for the people out there. The Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic is a concept uplifted by American actor, Michael B. Jordan’s firm and an American investment firm called Invesco. They announced the basketball competition named ‘Legacy Classic HBCU Startup Pitch Competition’.

What is Serena Ventures?

In 2014, Serena Williams come up with an extraordinary concept called Serena Ventures in order to provide a platform of creativity, opportunities, and empowerment. Serena Ventures is a firm that focuses on early stage startups and gives them a voice.

Well, it seems like apart from being the best female tennis player of all time, Williams is also a brilliant entrepreneur.

Talking about her professional game, Serena Williams has stayed away from tennis now for almost six months owing to her hamstring injury. Unfortunately, she was forced to retire at the Wimbledon 2021 in the opening round itself.

However, despite announcing good news on the Australian Open 2022, Serena Williams decided to concentrate on her recovery and opted to not participate.
