Former World No.5 Eugenie Bouchard has been on and off the tennis tour for many years now. This year, she injured her shoulder and did not compete at any event after WTA Monterrey Open in March. However, the Canadian star has been training hard for quite some time to recover fully. Accordingly, she credited the daylight savings time for helping her recent workout.
Indeed, the 27-year-old had suffered a severe shoulder injury that did not allow her to touch a tennis racquet for more than five months. But from the looks of Bouchard’s recent training video, the return to the tennis court does not seem far away.

Notably, Bouchard made the most of the clock turning back to normal on daylight savings time. Also, she remained determined and showed discipline throughout the hardcore training regime.
In her recent video on Instagram, Bouchard is performing various fitness exercises. Fascinatingly, she even executed the Step Back lunges with SSB (The Safety Squat Bar). The Canadian captioned it, “Daylight saving time made me do it.”

Earlier, the 2014 Wimbledon finalist also had revealed that she would soon begin her tennis training. Naturally, she was happy to return to the tennis court after such a long time.
Besides, Bouchard had also joined the Tennis Channel panel as an expert during the recovery period. However, she would probably feel much better competing on the court.
Ultimately, the recent training video has clarified that her return would now be sooner rather than later. Moreover, Bouchard looked ready to take on the court anytime.
But in 2021, the 27-year-old Canadian registered a disappointing 5-4 win-loss record on the WTA Tour. It even included a final in an event in Guadalajara.
