Canadian World No.6 Bianca Andreescu is back in harness after not playing for the entirety of 2020. Although she started slow with the Australian Open 2021 second-round exit, she picked herself up from then on. In her next two tournaments, the 20-year-old reached the Phillip Island Trophy semi-finals and finished runner-up at the Miami Masters.

Concerningly, the Canadian had retired from her final against Ashleigh Barty in Miami after an awkward footfall. But she immediately clarified to her fans on Instagram that her injury was nothing major.

However, after seeing her new video for the famous American sports drink Gatorade, all questions about her fitness level would undoubtedly fade away. Not to mention, 8 out of the 12 matches she has played this year saw the third set and she has lost only one of them.

Bianca Andreescu features in a sprightly Gatorade Ad

In the video, Bianca Andreescu is training outdoors with a Gatorade bottle giving her company. Unsurprisingly, she begins the session by taking a sip and then puts her serve, forehand and backhand on the test. Following that, Bianca did some drills, shoulder exercises, side-lying dumbbells exercise and pushed a rubber tire.

Moreover, the 2019 US Open champion wrote ‘FuelledbyG’ and marked Gatorade Canada in her caption. Take a look at the video and become activated to get some heat.

She is clearly looking in great shape and would look forward to making progress soon on the women’s tour. Currently, Bianca is recovering from injury sustained at the Miami Open 2021 final and has decided to withdraw from the upcoming Fed Cup.

Apart from her, the reigning French Open champion Iga Swiatek has also withdrawn from the esteemed tournament. However, she is looking forward to representing Poland at the Tokyo Olympics 2021.

What to expect from Andreescu in 2021?

Last year, Bianca did not play a single tournament and consequently wants to compensate this year. But there are still many signs of rust in her game, which she would need to work on ahead.

One thing that stood out about her comeback is her fighter’s spirit that she carried with her in every match so far. Without a doubt, she will regain her best level and start collecting the titles she deserves.
