Tommy took to Twitter and explained how Bianca’s wish to him came to be.

My friend got me on Secret Santa and DMd  @Bandreescu and she’s sent this video for me I was so shocked!. She also is sending me a gift, Bibi and her family are the nicest people ever. I also can’t thank my friend from work enough, it’s so thoughtful and means so much to me.”

In the video, Andreescu could be seen thanking her biggest fan for all the love and encouragement during the tough times.

Hey Tommy, it’s Bianca. I just wanted to take a few moments to say some things. First of all, happy holidays. I wish you all the best. Second of all, thank you so much for all of the support throughout the years, it really means a lot, especially through the rough times because there were a lot, but also a lot of good moments,” Bianca said in the adorable video.

Ever since winning her first Grand Slam title at the 2019 US Open, the Canadian has struggled with injuries which have deterred her chances of continuing the winning momentum. A knee injury forced Andreescu out of contention in 2020 and she finally made a comeback at the ‘Happy Slam’ this year.

At the US Open, Andreescu tried her best to reciprocate her 2019 run but fell short in the pre-quarters to Maria Sakkari in a gripping three-set contest. Ahead of the 2022 WTA season in Australia, the Canadian recently announced that she isn’t completely ready and will give herself some time before stepping on a tennis court again.
