Russian player Arina Ivanovna Rodionova has reached the top 100 for the first time in her career, and it may as well be the ‘best story of the season’.

As she achieved the results, Rodionova couldn’t control her emotions and sat down after the tiring match to revel in her new accomplishments. Although she is a little late to the party, she was bolstered on by fans.

Arina Ivanovna Rodionova is a 34-year-old Russian player, who turned pro in 2005. For most of her career, she has been jumping between 100 to 300. However, Rodionova has been trying hard to get into the top 100 for the past few years. Many in her position would give up the struggle and choose different career paths. But she continued to strive and fought against all odds.

She has finally been rewarded for her efforts. The 34-year-old made it into the top 100 after winning the first round of Hua Hin Championships. She beat Yuan Yue in three sets to finally reach a prominent stage in the sport.

After she won her bout, she couldn’t help but shed tears of happiness. She sat down on her bench and put a towel over her head to hide her face. Although she just entered the top 100, many tennis fans were already aware of her and congratulated her for her resilience.
