After juggling for around 9 to 10 months, Emma Raducanu came back to complete her devotion to tennis. Last year, she was out of the tennis arena because of her health problems and had three injuries at a time. While having so many injuries was not easy, she was sure to deal with everything and get back on the court as soon as possible.

But now, after making a comeback and trying to get back to her old form, she recently opened up about how her consecutive surgeries and time off kept her connected to the sport. Along with that, she also highlighted how, during that same time, she kept her tennis hunger alive.

The 21-year-old British tennis player is currently playing in the Abu Dhabi Open and has successfully defeated Marie Bouzková in the initial round of the tournament. In the meantime, she also spoke to CNN and recalled the time when she renewed her hunger for tennis last year while staying away from the sport itself.

She stated, “I had three in the same week, so that was very difficult. I was very immobile. I couldn’t do anything. After the initial boredom and disappointment, I think that I quite enjoyed the time off because I felt like it gave me time to reset in reflect on why I do tennis, why I play, what I enjoy about it. And then it really gives me time to miss it and be hungry again.”

Along with that, she also highlighted how initially she was very disappointed with how she was having three surgeries. But then, after struggling a bit, she used her time and reflected on her connection with tennis. At the same time, she also looked back on the reasons that used to make her hungry to win and play on the court.

Earlier this year, she made her comeback with the ASB Classic tournament, and since then she has openly talked about getting ready to age the game of tennis in her way. The Grand Slam champion before her comeback shared her mental state regarding getting back on the professional tour after almost a year.

A few months ago, the British tennis player shared her comeback state of mind as she was ready to battle on the tennis court once again. She stated, “Yeah I feel reborn in a way, I feel fresh, I feel ready, I feel happy. I feel excited. So, overall, I’m feeling very positive and lighter.”

Along with that, she also highlighted how, two years after the US Open, there might be a bit of weight on her shoulders, but at the same time, she feels completely fresh to step on the tennis court once again. But at the same time, she considered it like a rebirth of her as a tennis player. Although she has not found a perfect victory streak for now, at the same time, she is still giving her 100% to bring out her older version.
