Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian plays too much. The seasoned entrepreneur is all about fun and spontaneous activities with his wife and two children, Olympia and Adira. Naturally, the hot celebrity duo shares a strong bond and often showcases that with their regular social media posts. This time, the Reddit co-founder hilariously teased his wife during a summit event in Miami. 

The former World No. 1 is fresh off her ecstatic Super Bowl LIX halftime show appearance, alongside Pulitzer-winning rap artist Kendrick Lamar. Williams stunned fans after crip walking on the Compton rapper’s electric hit single, Not Like Us, aimed as a diss track towards Canadian R&B sensation and her rumored ex-boyfriend, Drake. Days after dropping the hammer on Drizzy, Williams has returned to the fold. 

She has resumed pursuing her professional endeavors and subsequently, marked her attendance at the summit in Miami. The summit is part of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) institute, founded by the royal decree, which aims to bring prominent personalities and global leaders into a room to invest in transformative solutions. Naturally, the multi-millionaire couple were invited for the event which is currently underway, from February 19 to 21.

Taking to Instagram, Williams shared a post with her hubby and uploaded their stylist showcase at the Miami event. Coincidentally, the duo donned outfits complimenting their apparel. Surprised, the former World No. 1 captioned the media upload – “Ummmm look Look who I ran into @alexisohanian. Matching without even planning.” Later, Ohanian reacted to her IG post by reposting her story and playfully noted: “I warmed up the crowd for her.”

For those unaware, tech entrepreneur Ohanian owns and leads his venture capital firm Seven Six Seven. A substantial investor in major sports teams including NWSL’s Angel City FC and TGL’s Log Angeles Golf Club actively hunts for opportunities that will help him expand his business domain. 

So naturally, Ohanian, the owner of the women’s-only track and field competition label, Athlos, found it best to extend a deal to one of the brightest talents in her wife’s sport.

Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian’s $1.48M company, Athlos, specializes in track and field. However, when their New Zealand star track athlete Zoe Hobbs expressed admiration of American No. 1 Coco Gauff, the Reddit co-founder couldn’t help but offer her a deal. 

On Thursday, February 20, Hobbs posted a video claiming she would be “startled” if she crossed paths with Gauff. “Someone who would startle me if I came across them would be Coco Gauff. I’ve recently become quite a new fan of tennis, so I was fortunate to go to the ASB Classic in New Zealand. And I was just so impressed with the power that they have. To see them actually play in person is so different to seeing them on TV, and Coco, being one of the best in the world, I think it would be awesome to meet her.”

Subsequently, the American businessman reshared the clip and offered Gauff a spot in Athlos’ next sporting goods edition. “I got a spot waiting for you in a trackside suite @CocoGauff 💪 ATHLOS 2.”

Gauff has already furnished herself with several lucrative sponsorship deals, reportedly minting her a calm $30.4 million from prize money and endorsements en route to becoming the third-highest-paid female athlete in 2024. If she follows up on Ohanian’s offer, chances are it will only play to her advantage seeing as the Reddit co-founder could draw her a deal worth considering.
