In a recent exclusive with lifestyle and fashion magazine Vogue, Coco Gauff could be seen in her element. The tennis star, known to show no mercy to her opponents, revealed that she does the same with her brothers. Gauff’s coach Brad Gilbert told Vogue, “You can tell she has a ton of love for her brothers and wants success for them,” he said. “But I think if they’re playing a game of some sort, she wants to crush them.”

Gauff confirms, “I don’t taunt or bully or cheat. But if they ask me to go easy, I won’t.” Talking about their family’s sporting culture, Gilbert says she’d often spend quality time with her younger brothers: Cameron, aged 10, who excels in football, and Codey, aged 16, who’s a skilled baseball player. Whether attending their games or engaging in spirited ping-pong matches, the Gauff household exudes a competitive spirit.

The Gauffs are a rich reservoir of athletic prowess; parents Corey and Candi were athletes themselves. Coco’s father Corey also was her primary coach. Nonetheless, the focus isn’t solely on Coco Gauff, as her younger brothers are busy charting their course to triumph too. And right by their side is their older sister, always rooting for them.

Coco Gauff often talks about how her brothers have influenced her tennis journey. Being the oldest sibling helped her mature quickly and become mentally tough on the tennis court. Before playing in the Qatar Open, Coco said, “I’m the oldest of three siblings. Maybe that’s why I’ve grown up so fast.”
