King Richard, which was the story of the Venus and Serena Williams’ childhood struggles perceived through the lens of their father Richard Williams got rave appreciations from critics as well as the general audience for how a family stayed together and believed in the talent of their daughters.

Both the sisters along with Will Smith promoted the film intensely and now that the movie is with the audience, the promotions came to an end gradually. Serena, however, gave a detailed interview to Forbes on the movie and the satisfaction she got after watching the film.
Serena Williams opens up about admirable qualities in her father
The 23-time Grand Slam champion was glad that the true story of his father reached millions of people through ‘King Richard’.
“People have gotten the story wrong, or media have portrayed my dad in an untruthful light. We want to get the story right. And a lot of people think that my dad was a different character”.
Also, the American mentioned the qualities in her father that she admires the most.
“He wanted us to have fun first over anything. That’s the thing that I loved most. I love his strength. I love how strong he taught us to be, and not to accept anything less than what we deserve”, Serena concluded.
Venus and Serena dominated women’s tennis for close to two decades
As much as Richard Williams deserves all the appreciation he is getting, Serena and Venus’ mother Oracene Price also played a key role in shaping the games of both her daughters.

Both Serena and Venus went on to have 30 Grand Slam titles(23 for Serena and 7 for Venus) in their illustrious career. Even though Serena won her last major at the 2017 Australian Open, she has made several finals since then and is definitely capable of adding yet another slam title to her name.
Venus, on the other hand, had fallen back on the race but continues to mesmerize fans with her on-court skills every now and then. She had played multiple tournaments this year but couldn’t go past the initial rounds in any of them.

Both the Williams sisters will be making a comeback at the Australian tennis summer in January next year.
