Victoria Azarenka has been active on the court for almost 20 years now. The Belarusian star made her debut in 2003 and had a lot of ups and downs in her career. In her recent podcast episode, she talked about his Russian schooling, and why he needs that.

Furthermore, she also commented on his intelligence, which helps him to pick things up quickly. Understandably, at the time of his birth, Azarenka was on a hiatus and hasn’t looked like the same player as before.

Victoria Azarenka on her son’s Russian schooling

The Belarusian player was talking on her podcast, ‘Think About it with Victoria Azarenka’, about the different parenting styles. The two-time Grand Slam champion then talked about Leo’s schooling and said, “He is going to a Russian school.” She elaborated on the reason behind it and said, “I wanted him to learn Russian language because if he does not learn now, there’s no chance for him to learn later.

Going further into the conversation, she commended his intelligence and his quick power of learning and said, “He is way above his age; he has done so many things. I am not worried at all; he is gonna learn.”

The Belarusian player is all gaga for her son Leo. Fans also got to witness playing tennis with him at the Citi Open, as she was teaching him how to hit the ball.

Azarenka’s poor 2022 season

The world no.26 has not had a great run in 2022. The player has reached the quarter-finals of the Citi Open and Adelaide International, but that has been it. Even during the peak of her career, the two-time grand slam champion has not had consistent runs in tournaments, especially Grand Slam events.

Azarenka won her first grand slam at the Australian Open in 2012. Her second grand slam came after a year when she defended her title in Australia. However, she has failed to secure any of the other three Grand Slam tournaments.

The Belarusian player could not be a part of the Wimbledon this year because of the ban on Russian and Belarusian players. She missed playing at the grass-court major and to commemorate that wore an all-white tennis kit and uploaded the pictures on her Instagram.
