World No.23 Emma Raducanu stunned the world after she won the US Open 2021 title. She created history in New York after becoming the first qualifier to ever win the Grand Slam. However, it is just the starting of her professional career.
Speaking at a Lawn Tennis Association in the Great Britain, Emma Raducanu revealed that she is really exhilarated to play at the Australian Open next year. She mentioned that she will do everything in order to complete in Melbourne.

“Whatever needs to be done to be able to play the Australian Open, I’ll do. To me it’s not even a thought or like a battle in my mind. I just want to be at the Australian Open, and I want to compete there, so, whatever it takes to do, I’ll go,” said Raducanu.

Raducanu stated that she is ready to face and beat anyone at the Australian Open 2022. However, she feels that tough opponents will really pose a big challenge for her.
“I’m hungry to play anyone and I think that would be a really cool challenge,” added the US Open 2021 champion.

“Like to challenge myself”- Emma Raducanu
Raducanu didn’t defeat many top-10 players during her US Open 2021 campaign. However, she highlighted that she is ready to beat all of them at the Australian Open even if it would be extremely difficult. The rising star believes that it would be good learning experience for her even if she loses the match against a big player.

“I like to challenge myself and obviously it’s going to be extremely difficult to beat a top-10 player or a player of that quality but I’m up for it and, even if I lose, I think it’d be a great learning (opportunity) just to compare where I’m at to where the best in the world are. So either way for me it would be a win-win,” concluded the 18-year-old.
