Former WTA no.1 player Naomi Osaka is one of the most popular tennis players on the tour. Her life completely changed after winning the US Open in 2018 by beating Serena Williams in the final. Since then, she won three more Grand Slam titles and achieved many lucrative deals off the court.
Apart from being a tennis player, Naomi is also Japanese. So, her love for anime, manga, video games is quite natural. A few weeks back, she released her Manga series, inspired by the infamous Butterfly moments at the Australian Open in 2021. Recently, she revealed that she got her Fortnite avatar in a social media post.

Naomi Osaka reveals her Fortnite gameplay video
One of the most popular games of this generation, Fortnite, often collaborated with various franchises in the past. We have also seen the reference to this game in many popular movies. Recently, Fortnite collaborated with popular tennis star Naomi Osaka.
In an Instagram post, Naomi revealed the gameplay of her avatar, as she wrote in the caption, “tennis magical girl vibes @fortnite”

We can also see that Naomi has two skins in the game. One is Court Queen, and another one is Dark Priestess. In an Instagram story, Naomi revealed that she loves playing video games with her friends and sister. According to Naomi, her sister, Mari, designed the skins in Fortnite. The skins will come with two different Royal Racket Pickaxes and gliders.

The icon series will be available on March 3. Notably, celebrities, like Ariana Grande, LeBron James, has also made an appearance in Fortnite’s icon series.
Osaka will play at the Indian Wells
Since the withdrawal from the 2021 French Open, Naomi has been lackluster in terms of her performance on the court. After a disappointing end to 2021, Naomi hasn’t started well in 2022 as well. In the Summer, she lost in the third round at the Australian Open to Amanda Anisimova.

Since then, she hasn’t played in any tournaments. Moreover, her rankings have fallen quite a bit since the Australian Open, as she is currently ranked at 80. However, she got a wildcard at the Indian Wells, which will start on 8th March. The Japanese player will have a great opportunity to move up the rankings if she manages to make it far in the tournament.
