Naomi has not had the best start to her WTA campaign this year. She reached Melbourne and was unable to defend her title at the Australian Open. The below-par performances have been continuing since the 2021 French Open.
Quite a few troubles off the court for the Japanese star
During her stint at Roland Garros last year, Osaka revealed that she will not be participating in the post-match pressers. This led to a huge backlash main reason for her making those claims was due to mental health issues.
She skipped the Wimbledon Championships and was unable to create an impact at the Tokyo Olympics as well. Post the Olympics, she did not perform well at the US Open too.

If Naomi gets going right from the word go, she can make life difficult for every single opponent in her half.
