A maiden Grand Slam final can get over-whelming for any player, especially to a youngster. The same happened with the American Coco Gauff, who, despite doing exceptionally well to reach the final, failed to dominated the in-form Iga Swiatek. It’s a tough loss to bear for the youngster as she couldn’t give competition to the Polish star at any point in the match.
Swiatek, on the other hand, was in full flow, extended her mammoth winning streak and managed to win her second Grand Slam crown. In what can possibly be considered one of the many major finals that fans will witness, the duo had good words for each other in the post-match speech.
Gauff, who broke down in tears right after the match got over, remained in tears even in her speech and said, “What you’ve done on tour the past couple of months has truly been amazing and you totally deserve it. Hopefully we can play each other in more finals and I can get a win over you one of these days.”

Looking at her reaction, there were a lot of consolation messages for the young American as they assured her of winning more Grand Slams. It’s still a long way to go for the young Gauff, who would want to continue her phenomenal run in the upcoming Wimbledon Championships too.
