British tennis star Emma Raducanu is one of the best current generation tennis players. The 19-year-old gave her best performance in last year’s US Open. She defeated Leylah Fernandez of Canada in straight sets to claim her first Grand Slam title. However, the Briton has not given a significant performance since then. Recently, the 19-year-old crashed out of the Wimbledon Championships 2022 after losing her second-round match against Caroline Garcia.

Currently, the Briton is featuring in the Citi Open in a bid to prepare for the defense of her US Open title. Meanwhile, in a viral video, the 19-year-old was seen playing table tennis.

The tennis star, this time, left her racket to pick up a table tennis bat. She engaged in a fun battle of table tennis.

In the video, we can see Raducanu all cheered up as she tries to score a point. Her mother was also present there, recording a video of her daughter.

Winning start for Raducanu in Citi Open

Emma Raducanu started her summer hard-court swing with a bang. She played brilliantly in the first match of her Citi Open campaign. While facing qualifier Louisa Chirico, she registered a straight-set victory. The reigning US Open champion took only 1 hour and 27 minutes to claim a 6-4, 6-2 victory over her American opponent.

Later, the 19-year-old addressed the media. “Definitely feels really good to get a win here in DC. And after not playing for quite a bit after Wimbledon or many matches at all this year, I think it’s a really nice feeling just to get on the board,” she said.

Further, she explained how the first match of any tournament is crucial.

“I think playing any first round is always pretty challenging. Then when you’re not necessarily that match-sharp, small things you don’t necessarily get right. It’s just important to stay calm,” she added.

The Briton is up next against Camila Osorio of Colombia in her round of 16 match. With her preparation looking solid, it will be interesting to see if she can defend her US Open title.
