Venus Williams has always been a headline-maker, not just for her incredible feats on the tennis court but also for her intriguing life off of it. The 44-year-old icon remains one of the most beloved figures in sports, and lately, fans have been buzzing about more than just her powerful serves and Grand Slam victories. Rumors surrounding her relationship status have started to swirl, adding fuel to the public’s curiosity. But true to her style, Venus remains tight-lipped about her personal life.

The American tennis sensation engaged in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar on September 10. She deliberated on a wide range of topics including her career and time away from the tennis courts. However, when it came to her relationship status, the 44-year-old preferred to remain tightlipped. Interestingly, this comes at a time when the tennis world is buzzing with rumors of her dating the Italian actor-producer Andrea Preti.

Williams and Preti captured headlines together in August this year when they were seen holding hands during a summer outing leading to speculations about their love life. The star player was seen carrying a casual look, with a white top paired with shorts and a color-coordinated jacket, with a cap. Similarly, the Italian actor also kept his look simple with a black T-shirt and tracks. But this was not the first time when their pictures went viral. 

The rumors tookcenter stage when they were spotted enjoying a yacht outing in Nerano, Italy. In some other pictures, the couple was spotted spending leisure time with Preti’s arms draped around her shoulders. Despite the rumors, Williams refused to confirm any relationship. However, in a 2022 interview with the same publication, she openly expressed her love for her ‘single’ status. 

“I’ve had a single life for a long time and I think it’s really easy to get stuck in single life and sometimes – at least for me – harder to get out,” Williams had said. While she might have found the love of her life, the star player is preferring to remain tight-lipped at least for now. However, Williams expressed that her life is not devoid of love.

Venus Williams shares special bond with Serena Williams’ daughters

Besides being a great tennis player, Venus Williams is also an amazing aunt. The tennis player prefers spending some quality time with the daughter of her legendary sister Serena Williams during the downtime, despite struggling with them a bit. 

Speaking in the same interview, the elder Williams sister said, “It’s wonderful,” about her bond with Olympia and Adira. “You don’t have to be the one doing the disciplining. You get to come for the fun parts. Although, as soon as I go over there the older one (Olympia) wants me to start running around. Who wants to do that! I’m so tired of running. Can’t we sit and play Lego or something?” But they are not the only ones who get Venus’ love

The star player also enjoys spending time with her dog Harry, during her downtime. “We love to spend time together. We’re codependents and it’s great.” While she does not seem to speak of her love life anytime soon, it would be interesting to see if the tennis star or the Italian actor announces a surprise revelation about their romantic journey anytime soon.
