It is a dream of every sportsperson to represent their country at the Olympics. While featuring at the Olympics is a great joy in itself, winning an Olympic Gold is an altogether mammoth achievement. Only a few sportspersons are fortunate enough of winning an Olympic Gold. Olympics recently shared a post about the best celebrations including Serena Williams and Venus Williams celebrating the Gold Medal win in London.

The Williams sisters marked their dominance again on the court, but the celebration was still like their first championship win.

Winning Gold at the Olympics is like a dream come true for any athlete. Some of them have won multiple gold medals but the efforts and consistency behind the medal winners are always very commendable. So the celebrations after the deserved win are acceptably very wild.

Serena Williams and Venus Williams have always cherished playing on the grass at the Wimbledon. They have won a total of 18 Grand Slams between them on those courts. But winning Gold Medal for third-time together was very much special for them. Venus quickly shared the post on her Instagram Story.

Serena also won Gold Medal in singles also defeating Russian Maia Sharapova in the finals. She completed her career Golden Slam with that win.

The top 5 celebrations chosen also included legendary sprinter Usain Bolt, who gives his iconic “Lightning” pose after the Gold medal win. It had Filipino weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz, who won her 1st Gold Medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Most successful Track Runner Mo Farah is also included in the list, along with high Jump World no. 1 Gianmarco Tamberi.

Serena and Venus – powerful duo

Venus and Serena have dominated the tour throughout the course of their careers. While Serena is a 23-time Grand Slam champion, her elder sister, Venus is a 7-time Major champion in singles. They have also won 14 doubles Majors titles together. Both players were former World No 1 for quite a long time.

Serena Williams and Venus Williams have been currently sidelined due to their respective injuries. Serena recently expressed her intentions of making a comeback at Wimbledon this year. With age not on her side, it remains to be seen how Serena copes up to grind of the tour once again on her comeback!
