Venus Williams has long established herself as a household figure on the women’s circuit. While amassing seven singles Grand Slam titles and reaching the number-one ranking, the American tennis icon has delivered some mesmerizing performances. However, the 43-year-old player’s prowess extends beyond the spheres of the racket sport, as she recently got inclined towards a disparate game, football.

Reacting to her new stint in a different sport, Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson’s wife, Ciara, recently heaped praise on Williams.

Taking note of her football coaching prowess, the American singer could hold herself back from lauding Willimas. She reshared the post on her Instagram story with the caption, “So cute! I love this! Coach @venuswilliams #GirlPower”. As she took part in this noble initiative, the 7-time singles Grand Slam champion also motivated the young participants, as witnessed by a video clip in which they were getting ‘hyped for the big game.’ Williams also added the captions, “Getting hyped for the big game!” and “Go Team!”

After her new stint in a totally disparate game, the 43-year-old player revealed that she was quite ‘excited’ to participate in this initiative ‘to help nurture girls’ self-belief and confidence’.
