Legendary tennis player Serena Williams has been out of action for a long time now. The 40-year-old tennis stalwart last played at the Wimbledon last year. An injury has sidelined her from the tennis court. She is still recovering and is yet to make a comeback. Meanwhile, the American icon is using the break in having some quality time.
Recently, Serena appeared on “The Ellen Show”, where she answered various questions about her personal and professional life. One such question which attracted many eyeballs was about her celebrity crush growing up.

Who Was Serena’s Crush Growing Up?
As the format of the show goes, a random question is picked which has to be answered by the guest celebrity. For Serena, the question which popped up on the screen was “Who was your celebrity crush growing up? “.
To which Serena replied with a memory of her childhood. She said she was a fan of the rap crew “Kris Kross” and absolutely adored Chris Smith. In fact, Serena had a poster of Smith on her wall and used to make out with it.
“Interesting. You know I used to make out with a poster because I put up a poster on my wall. Venus insisted it’s weird but I think everyone did that. Okay, so you remember that wasn’t a band, a rap crew Kris Kross. I was into one of them. It was Chris smith. I used to make out with him on my wall. I was a teenager,” revealed Serena.

Both Serena and Venus have created a huge impact on the women’s tennis tour and seemingly so, tennis runs in the blood of the family. When the younger Williams sister was asked about her daughter Olympia’s tennis skills, Serena gave it a brief thought as she was confused whether she should judge her daughter’s skills as a mother or as a tennis player.
Serena eventually admitted that Olympia can deliver a powerful backhand swing and her tennis skills are alright. The 40-year-old added that her daughter is much more interested in playing princess games than in playing tennis. Finally, the American concluded that she has discretely hired a coach for her daughter to give her private tennis lessons without revealing her identity.

From her varied appearances over the past few months, Serena Williams is clearly enjoying the break and the tennis icon will most likely make a comeback at the Wimbledon Championships this year.
